We live in a world in which there is a ceaseless rush for more. Is there anyone free from the quest for more? We want more knowledge, more wisdom, more money, more of everything. Sadly, we have neglected more thanks to God. Many of us have forgotten that we need to give God thanks for the daily strengths, good health, skills, daily sustenance and life itself, all which he freely and graciously releases from his throne to us.
What a worthy act of gratitude that we in the United States have a Thursday in the month of November as Thanksgiving Day. Many people embrace the day and utilize it for several purposes, perhaps, not to give thanks to the generous God of all grace from whom all our blessings flow. Stop and think! Need we not to habitually thank God for his many benefits towards us? Hallelujah, God is good; his merciful kindness is measurelessly great. “My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to You.” Psalm 71:23. http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/j/o/joyful.htm
