The Bold Move

Posted on Mon, Jan 5, 2009

...this New Year, I invite you to prayerfully make a bold move by setting your goal (s). As much as God leads you, reasonably invest your time and other resources in the venture. Then, obediently confess your success in the venture, regardless of any contrary situation. God who is your strength and partner is faithful. He will grant you the desires of your heart.

Typically, every new year, most people make resolutions and set goals for worthwhile endeavors. Often, they work hard striving to reach their marks. But sadly, more than 90 % do not habitually; attain their goal(s).  Usually, within two months into the year, their resolves have diminished. Consequently, they give up and fail.   Year in and out, they repeat this trend over and over again.

This year, I want to share the formula for success with you. By the grace of God, at the end of 2009 when you look back at your life, you will be much fulfilled and truly happy if you follow these simple steps.

First, I decree and announce that 2009 is your year of favor, happiness and prosperity. However, these blessings are in the context of God’s economy; meaning that you must  resign to God’s control of your affairs, and be able to willingly and implicitly trust and obey God all the way. It entails that you can allow God to have His way with you, see Him as your source and can resolutely do what He will have you to do, “for in him we live, and move, and have our being” Acts 17:28  He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5    If you are willing to do the afore-named, then the steps to your success are as follows:

1. Prayerfully make a bold move by setting your goal (s). 2. Reasonably invest your time and other resources in the venture as much as God leads you. 3. Then, obediently confess success expecting a return(s) from your investment, regardless of any contrary situation.

Remember, you   can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (you)Philippians 4:13.  God with all His power is behind you. Thus, you must trust Him as a faithful partner. Whether or not your venture is tangible, subscribe to the formula and daily nurture it (them) with prayer and grateful confession of success. Hold God, tenaciously, to His promise concerning the project and trust that He will increase and prosper you in His time. He has declared that you are blessed. Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked …his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers." Psalms 1:2-3. God has said it; you must believe it.

Be emboldened by the testimonies of Joshua and Caleb in Numbers 13 and 14. Moses had sent twelve people to spy out the land of Canaan. All twelve saw the land and returned with their reports. They all confirmed the existence of the land. But, sadly, ten viewed it as a land with insurmountable challenges and gave up on ever possessing it.  They truly, had acknowledged that the land was plump. But tragically, they got overwhelmed with the challenges they saw and so lost sight of the children of promise that they were. Thus, without faith in God who was their strength, they underestimated their ability and missed the mark. Hear them:” We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we”

But Caleb made a bold move. He claimed God’s power and trusted in His faithfulness. He "stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it." Joshua as well, affirmed God’s word and spoke to “all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not." Number 14:6-9

Therefore; this New Year, I invite you to prayerfully make a bold move by setting your goal (s). As much as God leads you, reasonably invest your time and other resources in the venture. Then, obediently confess your success regardless of any contrary situation. God who is your strength and partner is faithful. He will grant you the desires of your heart.
