Have your faith and principles ever been confronted or challenged? What is threatening your peace? Stop and recall the seeming generosity of Nebuchadnezzar who offered Shadrack, Meshach, and Abed-nego a chance to bow to his statue. They sternly declined. You too, cannot afford to bow to the delicacies of sin no matter the cost. But by faith in The king of Creation, you can call off the bluff of the seducing Satan. You too, need an on-your-face and “stubborn” display of loyalty to God like Shadrack, Meshach, and Abed-nego. The God who spared them from destruction, wants to help you too. But you must pray and hands off your cares on him today!
The creative power of God is never in doubt. Be it in the creation of the world when “he spoke it into existence.” His creative provision made a dry passage way in the Red Sea for the Israelites in their journey to the Canaan land. He availed and quenched the rage of a blazing furnace, and spared the lives of Shadrack, Meshach, and Abed-nego of old.
Have your faith and principles ever been confronted or challenged? What is threatening your peace? Stop and recall the seeming generosity of Nebuchadnezzar who offered Shadrack, Meshach, and Abed-nego a second chance to bow to his statue.
His superseding authority and ever-increasing power that created miracles for Shadrack, Meshach, and Abed-nego will also work today for you. These men would not dishonor the commandment of God in Ex. 20.5 and bow to an image of king Nebuchadnezzar, despite the apparent certainty of being thrown into a blazing furnace.
“Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever” Hebrews 13:8
