Giving does not entail an outlay of funds only, to meet a need. You can sow your time in charitable deeds of different shapes and forms. Look around in your neighborhood, there abound opportunities for you to invest in people. In this way, you will be giving to God and appreciating all His goodness and blessings in your life.
As the year 2008 draws to a close, we are entering a season of celebrations and a period when most people become very lonely and depressed. I urge you, therefore, to reflect on how much you can impact a life through your deeds of kindness and love this holiday season? Remember that our acts of giving are seeds we sow for our ultimate good because giving is sowing. And everyone who sows will also reap.
Giving does not entail an outlay of funds only, to meet a need. You can sow your time in charitable deeds of different shapes and forms. Look around in your neighborhood, there abound opportunities for you to invest in people. In this way, you will be giving to God and appreciating all His goodness and blessings in your life.
There are needy people in various deprived states every where; some might need food and clothing. Others might need financial help to address an urgent need. Do not allow any opportunity to elude you to sow into someone’s life this holiday season and be blessed.
The scripture enjoins us to be careful how we sow for “He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Instead of sowing seed of evil, and reaping corruption: “… let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”. Galatians 6:9-10
